This is an interesting article that states something I have believed for a long time. For all the conservative's stated dislike of "Judicial Activism" the truth is that they wouldn't mind as long as the activism favored their own point of view. In other words, don't expect Bush to nominate someone who will be a true conservative (i.e. less government in private life, etc). Instead, expect someone hand-picked to overturn laws in favor of the neo-cons personal philosophy (i.e. looser environmental regulations on businuess, more government involved in your private life, since you don't ever make the right moral choices, etc). The pendulum is ever swinging...I can only hope that it doesn't swing too far...Can anyone remember when the philosophy of politics didn't touch everything?
